There are many practical uses of Google power searching. One practical use of Google power search is scholar. This year I'm taking chemistry and we are currently doing a project on fuel efficient cars and we need reliable websites to find credible information. Another use of Google power search is conversions. If I decide to make a cake for example and I don't have a certain measuring spoon I can convert the units in Google. For example I can convert from tablespoons to teaspoons. Currently in history I'm working on a research project and it is very helpful to use the different operator like intext: to see if the topic I'm researching is on the website and site: to see if it is a primary or reliable source. I can also use the date range to find information from the certain time period I am researching. Before taking the Google power searching course it would take be a good amount of time to search things, but now I can do it fast, and I realized I can also use these tools for not only school, but when I just go on Google.
