The lessons on power searching with Google have been very helpful for me in both my daily web searching and my schoolwork. Two things I learned in class one were filter Google images and using control F to search specific words. In history, we are doing a research project and we need to find primary source images. Instead of scrolling through all of the images to find one, I selected a certain color within the image and clicked on similar images to minimize my options on searching for an image.  Also, in history we had to read multiple documents and after reading we had to answer a set of questions. Since there was so much to read I ended up forgetting were certain information was, so I used control F to find specific words that were in the questions and I was able to complete the assignment faster. In class two, I learned what a snippet is and how to define words. A snippet, which is also know as an abstract is a brief summary of what is present on the website. Before knowing what a snippet was I would view each website instead of viewing the brief summary, which took along time. Now I can find websites with information  I need faster. Before knowing to type [define...] to search for the definition of a word I would search  dictionary.com then search the word, but know I can just type define... and see the definition for multiple sources. Google power searching lessons have had a big impact in helping me complete assignments and other things.                   

I'm a sophomore at RMHS. Right now we are in the month of February, which is special because the winter Olympics are being held in Sochi. So far the U.S is doing fairly well with winning medals. Unfortunately, even though the Olympics are a special time there having been bomb threats that are causing concerned. One day I hope to travel and watch the Olympics live, but for now I will watched from my television at home.Last week I went to the 99 in Stoneham and the food was good. I got a chicken wrap with fires.One of the funniest Super bowl I saw was the Old Spice commercial.
